She developed an extensive academic career as an Associate Professor of Law at Carlos III University (Madrid, Spain), specializing in environmental and climate change law, and collaborated with the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law (Columbia University), and the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), in New York.
